Dead cockroaches - a little dried out, and one has a couple of missing legs.

The only good cockroach is a dead cockroach.

No they did not come from our home - thank goodness. They are from one of the cockroach  infested apartments downtown.   Ugly little critters - eh ? And they stink too. And they come out and creep about in the darkness !

And they crawl all over your food, and get in the cupboards.  Yuk !

Horseshoe Crab (taxidermy)

Earthworm

Earthworm being attacked. The vicious beetle like insect is yet to be identified. The predatory beetle like creature would not allow the earthworm to escape. It constantly bit at the worm, and guided it, so the worm could not get off the cement, and onto the grass and earth - where it would have a better chance to escape. Now this is a big meal !

Millipede

Red Wrigglers - these are used for composing in the home. They make soil from vegetable and fruit scraps. Now these are beautiful little worms.

Slug (found at Creston, BC wildlife preserve)        A real beauty, eh ?
