Science - Myth Science Explains All and Will Solve All of Mankind's Problems For the most part this world's educational systems, particularly its institutions of higher learning, like Universities and Colleges - have rejected God and His literal existence. Since most of them do not acknowledge Gods existence, and most of them regard the Bible to be just a collection of myths - then they have to come up with some way of explaining the world apart from God and His written revelation to mankind. Most of mankind has rejected Gods rule over their individual and collective lives. The overwhelming majority are in rebellion against God. Therefore many people do not want to acknowledge the literal existence of God, because if they did this, then they would have to come to terms about obeying this God or not. Most do not want to have God telling them how to live as individuals and societies, so for many the convenient out is to deny the existence of God. So they have turned to science as the great panacea. Science they claim will cure all diseases, and will solve the problem of aging and death. Children in schools all around the world are being taught that science will solve all of mankind's perplexing problems. Just pour in enough money for research, and enough money to hire the brightest of scientists - and like magic our age old troubles will be resolved. It is a myth. God has basically been rejected by most of the educational establishment. Most refuse to even acknowledge His existence. Therefore they will not look into the Bible for explanations as to why things are the way they are, and of why things happen the way they do. To illustrate - let us look at the origins of life and of the universe. Since most scientists reject God - then they have to come up with an explanation as to the existence of matter and life apart from God. Thus they have hatched up the theory of evolution, and the big bang theory. This writer has identified huge enormous flaws in evolutionary theory. There is also a lot of politics involved regarding the scientific community. Scientists are under political pressure to follow the herd. Therefore the world and life on it and many of our problems are seen through and interpreted through the prism of evolutionary theory. Gods revelation to mankind is rejected outright. Another illustration is human nature. If we acknowledge God and His written word the Bible, then we understand why human nature is the way it is, and how it can be changed. We understand that most human beings are in rebellion against God, and have a natural hostility to Him. They have a human nature that is basically evil, but there are some good aspects of human nature. Most people are motivated by their carnal minds - are motivated by spiritual matters like selfishness, greed, lust, jealousy, envy, hatred, vanity or the striving for status in the group. We understand that through Christ we can receive a new nature (after we believe, repent and are baptized) the holy spirit. This holy spirit is the life and nature of God, and we can then begin to work to overcome the evil nature through the power of the new nature within us - the holy spirit. We can then bear the good fruits of the holy spirit in our lives like love, patience, faith, peace, self-control, temperance, joy and so on. For most of the scientific world - since the vast majority of the scientific establishment has rejected Gods rule, and standards - well they simply try to explain the origins of human nature from a secular, scientific point of view. Human nature to them is a product of whatever society one grows up in. From their perspective human nature is a product of human beings themselves, and their human societies. Therefore, if human nature is a product of human society, then you can just follow the twisted thinking that human nature can therefore be changed by simple changing the society and its expectations and norms. Thus we have seen the emergence of such damaging societal trends like political correctness. Political correctness, is an attempt to change human nature through political means. As a result of political correctness - so many people are simply caving in to political pressure and following myths and falsehoods, instead of being honest. In the evolutionary scientific interpretation of life and mankind - where do ethics and morals fit in ? Hmm - a good question eh ? Since the educational establishment rejects Gods standards of what is right and wrong as explained in the Bible - then what does the educational establishment of this Godless world teach in regards to ethics, and moral standards ? Is this interpreted through the prism of societal norms, or the viewpoint of evolutionary theory and the survival of the most adaptable, or what ? Mankind, if they put together their collective heads, and cooperate can achieve very great things. There seems to be few limits as to what mankind can collectively do, if they pool together their resources, collective knowledge and expertise. This fits in with what the Bible teaches. However, there is the matter of God. God is in control, and mankind can go only as far as God allows. Let us have a look at the illustration from scripture that will explain these matters. Genesis 11:1-4 " And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. " The world was one language, and the people wanted to pool their collective resources and have a single world system. Genesis 11:5-9 " And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. " God acknowledged that if mankind was left alone to pool their collective resources and collective knowledge - under one world system that spoke one universal language - then there was basically nothing that they could not accomplish that they imagined to do. Amazing isn't it ? However, God is in control and God sets limits. God did not want mankind to pool their resources and knowledge under one world system as mankind wanted to do at the Tower of Babel. So God confused their languages, and thus scattered the people around the earth. God sets limits. God has decreed at this time that mankind is of the earth, and so we are confined to live our lives here on earth. Is it possible for mankind to someday explore and even populate other distant planets in other galaxies ? Yes this may certainly be possible, if we leave God out of the picture. However, we cannot ignore God, since He is our Creator, and it is He who controls our destiny. It is not in God's plans for physical, fleshly mankind to populate distant planets in distant galaxies - so it won't happen. On the other hand perhaps when we are spiritual beings in Gods Kingdom - then maybe there might be something like that happening in the new heaven and the new earth. God sets limits beyond which He will not allow mankind to venture. This doesn't mean mankind cannot achieve certain things we may believe impossible today - it just means that God has it within His power to limit how far human beings will go in the pursuit of knowledge, and in the advancement of technology. What about death ? God has decreed that human being are of the earth, and they return to the earth at death. God has decreed that the wages of sin is death, and all have sinned. So we will all die, because God says so. God will not allow science to come up with some way for humans to live forever in the physical state they are now. It just won't happen, because God is keeping that power for Himself. God is in control - something many, many people hate to acknowledge. Of course God allows mankind to do many horrible things, and also to invent many amazing things, and humans have been given free moral agency by God. However, God has also decreed that we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. No....science will not solve all of our problems. If we want lasting solutions we need to look to God, and come to Him through Jesus Christ. Christ is the answer. Christ accomplished so very much when He died on the cross, and was resurrected. Christ won the victory over sin and death. Christ overcame Satan, and stripped Satan of his power over mankind - the power of death. Christ has qualified to rule the earth, and set up the Kingdom of God on earth. Christ paid the penalty for our physical sins, because it is through His stripes we are healed. Christ dying on the cross is Gods trump card that He can always turn to when dealing with mankind. Thus we are silent before God, because He and Christ accomplished so very, very much through Christ dying on the cross. It is Christ's righteousness that saves you - your own human goodness is not good enough for God. God the Father will not accept you, if you don't come to Him through Jesus Christ. God will forgive you of your sins, if you have living faith and believe that Christ died for your sins, and you trust in Christ's blood to make you acceptable to God the Father. None of us can brag and boost about saving ourselves through our good works, because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We cannot save ourselves from death. We need a Savior in the person of Jesus Christ. No..... science will not solve all of our problems. The answer to our problems is Jesus Christ. Christ is the Answer.
