Life Affirming - Loving Women and Children Links What kind of perverse society would turn its back on such simple basic things like love, women and children ? Why would a society allow its families to be ripped apart, and relations between men and women wrecked by state sanctioned ideologies like feminism, and political correctness ? Yet this is what Canadian society (in general) has done. Canada promotes a culture of death. Over 100,000 unborn children are put to death through abortions each year (since 1992 when the number started exceeding 100,000). On May 14, 1969 Canada's law on abortion was changed to permit abortions under certain circumstances. This began a flood of abortions, which has led to the deaths of around 3,000,000 pre-born Canadian children. In 1997 there were 114,848 state sanctioned therapeutic abortions in Canada, in 2000 there were 105,427. Yet human life begins at conception. This is a scientific fact. About 13,000,000 Canadians are Catholic. The Catholic Church condemns abortion-on-demand. The Pope has repeatedly come out strongly opposed to abortion-on-demand. Yet very many Catholics support abortion, and get abortions. Wilfred Laurier was Canada's first Catholic Prime Minister, but not the last Catholic prime minister. Louis St. Laurent became the second, Pierre Trudeau became the third, Joe Clark the fourth, John Turner the fifth, Brian Mulroney the sixth, Jean Chrétien the seventh and Paul Martin is Canada's eighth Catholic prime minister. Yet all these Prime Ministers when in office (except to my knowledge Laurier and St. Laurent), supported actively or passively abortion laws, that legally permit the wholesale slaughter of the unborn in Canada. Canadian society in general does not value children very highly. If it did then why are there so many abortions ? Many dogs are treated far better in Canada than a lot of children. Fertility rates (the average number of children Canadian women have in their lifetime), has continued to fall - declining from 1.51 children per woman in 2001 to 1.50 in 2002. A record low of 1.49 was set in 2000. In 2004 a report by Statistics Canada said that the Canadian birthrate continued its decade-long decline in 2002 with practically the lowest rates ever recorded. The number of live births for every 1,000 people, has decreased by 25.4 per cent over the past 10 years, said the report. The live birth rate has declined for the past 12 years, except for a slight recovery in 2001. 328,802 babies were born in 2002, a decline of 1.5 per cent from the previous year. Relations between men and women have been essentially poisoned in Canada, due to political correctness and feminist ideology. I am not a feminist, or politically correct. I love women and children. Enjoy the company of women, but do not believe in uncommitted sex. Due to circumstances I was forced to stay at home and raise my two daughters, when they were small. Their mother became ill after the birth of our first child, and was incapable of caring for the child. You won't find many men who have changed more diapers than me. It is such a wonderful experience to raise children, especially the first. One of my goals, which I feel is realistic is to have at least a dozen children (and my wife cannot have anymore). If people don't approve - well so what ? Over 100,000 unborn children are aborted each year in Canada, and this seems to be just fine for many, many people. Governments pay doctors and other medical personnel to kill children - and that seems to be perfectly fine in Canada. Governments through their corrupt policies permit this holocaust to continue. These rulers have put in corrupt policies that encourage the destruction of over 100,000 unborn per year in Canada - and then they complain the population isn't growing fast enough and we need more immigration. Their corrupt policies verge on genocide, because they are encouraging women to abort their children, and then they plan to bring in each year about 300,000 immigrants - about 1% 0f the population per year. Our own people - the unborn, are allowed to be butchered by the authorities, and then they bring in foreigners to replace the killed people. Incredible, and astonishing corruption. I am sickened by how little value our famous rulers put on children. Christ was also an unborn fetus in Mary's womb. Human life begins at conception - it is a scientific fact. I am sickened by the current culture of death we have here in Canada.
