Myth They Were Born Gay        The Writer's Encounters With Some Homosexuals

Let us dispel some myths and false assumptions regarding homosexuality and clear up some of the confusion on the subject. 

1.  Homosexuals and the many who support homosexuality (but do not practice it themselves) have made a serious false assumption or error in logic - the error in logic has to do with their confusion regarding the different kinds of love and the different meanings of the word " love. "    The problem is that homosexuals, and many who support homosexuality mistakenly confuse brotherly and sisterly love with sexual love. 

There are three kinds of love and their Greek names are Eros, Phila and Agape.

Eros is the attraction and erotic, sexual love between a man and woman.

Phila can be compared to brotherly, or sisterly love.

Agape is God's love for us, and our love towards Him.

Where the homosexuals are confused is that they may have a warm feeling towards someone of the same sex. This is wonderful and perfectly natural. Brotherly and sisterly love is to commended and applauded. However, this is Phila - it is not the sexual erotic love called Eros. However, the homosexuals confuse that kind of love with sexual, or erotic love. So they get involved with sex with those of the same sex, confusing brotherly and sisterly love with sexual love.

Eros, or erotic love is normal and natural between men and women - the preferred relationship is a committed one between consenting adults - it is called marriage.

Phila can easily be seen on athletic teams. I recall the men's baseball team I used to play for in our little community. We had a great spirit on our team. There was a great male camaraderie. We would slap each other on the back, and when someone hit a home run during a game - we would be all over him in congratulations. I loved those guys, and I am sure most of the other players felt the same. However, that sort of love is Phila.  If someone would have suggested there was anything homosexual, or sexual about our relationships we would have laughed them to scorn. It was just good old male bonding, and male camaraderie. There wasn't a single thing sexual about it. Yet this is the kind of love that many homosexuals would interpret as homosexuality. How sad and twisted such people are. 

Agape is the kind of love God has towards us, and our love towards God. It refers to a love of someone greater than us, like our country for example. However, it probably has more to do with God. 

2. Myth that about 10 % of the population is gay. There is no proof of this. The actual percentage is probably around 1 % of the population. 

Recent figures from the Canadian Community Health Survey released towards the end of June, 2004 said that one per cent of Canadians identified themselves as homosexual. Naturally the gay establishment is up in arms and disputing the figures. They want us to continue to believe their propaganda (lies) that around 10 % of the population in Canada is gay. There is no proof of this. 

This writers estimate of about 1 % of our population being gay in Canada has been confirmed to be accurate by this recent poll. 

3. Myth that people are born gay, and this is genetically predetermined. This a huge piece of propaganda that we are just supposed to accept without question. 

The argument many homosexuals will make is that they are born that way.  Many will argue that it is genetic, and so they are just naturally sexually attracted to members of the same sex. Many gays will tell you homosexuality is predetermined genetically, and there is nothing they can do about it - they were just born that way and have no choice regarding their sexual orientation.

Now it may indeed be the case that certain persons have an attraction towards members of the same sex. There may even be sexual connotations to that attraction. We all have certain weaknesses or predispositions. However, that does not mean we must simply give in to these weaknesses. 

For example, alcoholism tends to run in families, because certain persons have an inherited weakness, or susceptibility towards alcohol addiction. Does this mean they are helpless, and cannot stop themselves from becoming drunks and alcoholics ? No of course not. People can make choices - they can choose to go cold turkey and stay away from booze, if they have an inherited weakness in that area. They can choose to stay away from people who drink to excess. No one is forcing them to get drunk.

Some people have addictive personalities, but that doesn't mean they absolutely have no choice, if they are addicted to drugs, alcohol or nicotine. That doesn't mean they are totally helpless to stop themselves from being addicted to things that harm them like cigarettes and hard drugs. People can fight these weaknesses. They can choose not to smoke. They can choose to be addicted to things that won't harm them so quickly, like being addicted to caffeine or chocolates. It is the same with homosexuals - they can choose to stay away from it - even though they might have a weakness in this area. We are not helpless victims. 

Another example is sex drive. Some people are born with a stronger sexual drive then others. Does this mean they are helpless victims of this inherited tendency, and are compelled to resort to rape, incest, bigamy or prostitution, or consorting with prostitutes ?  No certainly not. People have choices. If they have such a strong sex drive then why not get married and have twelve kids ? There are ways of legally dealing with a strong sex drive.

Another example is tempers. Some of us have a short fuse - very hot tempers. There is good evidence to suggest this is an inherited characteristic, although environmental factors may indeed play a large role. I feel it is mainly an inherited matter, because we can easily see how certain species of animals are more mean or aggressive than others. Take bulls for example. Hereford bulls are much more mild and gentle compared to Holstein bulls. A lot of farmers have been killed by Holstein bulls. Take the fighting bulls they breed in countries like Spain. The meanness and aggressiveness is bred into them. 

So perhaps you are from a family that has hot tempers. Does this now give you the license to beat up people who get you angry ? Does this give you consent to beat your wife or husband if they get you angry ?  Does this permit you to whip your kids ? Does this make it okay if you murder someone, because you are just a helpless victim of your anger ? No of course not. You can learn to control that hot temper, and even use it for useful purposes. 

We are not helpless victims of our passions, as so many homosexuals will try to persuade you we are. And just because we might have certain impulses or predispositions doesn't mean we need give into them, and it doesn't mean we cannot control our passions. If we all claimed to be helpless victims of our passions (as so many homosexuals do when they claim to have been born gay, and helpless to control it)  then society as we know it would cease to exist, and we would have complete anarchy. 

4. Myth that homosexuality is natural. Many gays will try to convince you that homosexuality is normal. 

In reality with nature's children the most important thing is reproduction. Animals in nature are wired, or geared towards reproduction. The survival of the species is absolutely dependent upon the reproduction of the species. You need a male and female for that. You never see in nature two animals of the same sex going off by themselves and forming a sexual bond. How on earth would the species reproduce that way ?

5. Myth that marriage is the invention of mankind, and mankind can - through the laws their governments make redefine and alter the institution of marriage. So people argue that homosexuals should be allowed to marry.

In reality it is God who joins a man and woman together in marriage. How ? God joins them together through sexual intercourse. 

Matthew 19:3-6   " The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 

" And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. "

It is God who joins a man and woman together, not the state. God joins the man and woman together in marriage through sexual intercourse. 

No government of man has any authority to alter the institution of marriage by legitimizing same-sex relationships and declaring them as marriages. They are not the ones who invented marriage. They are not the ones who join a man and woman together. 

6. Myth that the homosexual lifestyle is safe, and anal sex is normal. 

In reality the homosexual lifestyle is unsafe, and homosexual sex is responsible for a lot of transmission of diseases such as aids. Additionally the homosexual lifestyle encourages promiscuity, and hopping from one partner to another is another perfect way to spread diseases like aids.

The anus was never intended for a man's penis. 

On the other hand a committed heterosexual relationship is much more conducive to health. There is little chance of the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, in such a committed relationship. Additionally statistics show us that married persons in general tend to live longer. 

It is important to realize that the homosexual act is perfectly legal in Canada. Homosexuality and the homosexual act has been legalized years ago. As well the Supreme Court has interpreted  the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in such a way as to read into it - sexual orientation. Therefore marriage by gays is just a natural result and extension of the evolution of gay rights within Canada. 

People have to realize that within the context of Canada and the Supreme Court interpretation of the Canadian Constitution, gay rights are pretty well entrenched, and will be virtually impossible to alter. Same-sex marriages are just the next logical step in granting homosexuals the same rights as heterosexual couples. This is because of the Canadian Charter of Human Rights, which the Canadian Supreme Court has so interpreted as to include within it sexual orientation  (i.e. homosexuality) as a charter right. 

Once they get the right to marry - they won't even stop there. They are out for full and equal rights with heterosexual couples and they won't reject special rights, if the authorities are dumb enough to grant them privileges (and folks we are cursed with a lot of very dim bulbs within government). There will be more and more demands. In the process the institution of marriage will have been severely weakened here in Canada. 

It is time to stop this madness. Support me and the House of Israel Party. I and the party are totally opposed to same-sex marriages, and we do not support the homosexual lifestyle.  If you want some sanity in this matter please give me and the party your support. Vote out them rascals. Support and vote for me and help me get the party registered. 

Biblical Teachings Regarding Homosexuality

It is absurd to even suggest that God in the Bible condones homosexuality. Homosexuality is clearly labeled as a sin and a perversion - in both the Old and New Testaments. 

However, the argument many professing Christians will make in defense of homosexuality is that even though the Bible condemns homosexuality in the Old Testament we are under the New Covenant, and now have only one commandment (in their opinion), which is to love one another, and so if homosexuals love each other then the relationship has God's blessings (goes the twist) . However these people forget that homosexuality is thoroughly condemned in the New Testament.

Romans 1:21-28 " Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; "

1 Corinthians 6:9 (from Living Bible) " Don't you know that those doing such things have no share in the Kingdom of God ? Don't fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshippers, adulterers or HOMOSEXUALS - will have no share in His Kingdom. Neither will thieves, or greedy people, drunkards, slanderers or robbers. "

1 Timothy 1:10-11 (from Living Bible) " Yes, these laws are made to identify as sinners all who are immoral and impure: HOMOSEXUALS, kidnappers, liars, and all others who do things that contradict the glorious Good news of our blessed God, whose messenger I am. "

2 Peter 2:4-8 " For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; "

Jude 1: 7 " Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. "

Genesis 19: 1-13 " And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

" And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. Leviticus 18:22 " Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. "

Leviticus 20:13 " If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. "

Deuteronomy 23:17 " There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. "

2 Kings 23:7 " And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove. "

1 Kings 14:24 " And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. "

The Writer's Encounters With Homosexuals

When I was young and adventuresome back in 1969 -  I decided to travel East. Well through an amazing set of youthful blunders and miscalculations, I found myself homeless on Queen St. East in Toronto and sitting on the front steps of the Sally Anne. Had only four cents to my name, and a postage stamp in those days cost 5 cents.

Well it so happened that an older fellow comes up to me, and started being friendly. He realized my homeless hungry state, and offered to buy me a meal. Well having not eaten for a spell, I was not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He takes me to the cafe and buys me the meal, and starts talking about sex - and not the male-female stuff you know. He suggested I move in with him.  

Well I was not very comfortable with this situation, so decided to give him the slip. I told him that I would go back to the Salvation Army and see if they would take me in first. He assured me that if they had no room for me then I could move in with him. Well I leave him on the front steps, and go in. I go in and quickly walk out the back door, and get out of that place fast. Slept in the park, until I managed to get temporary work, and could afford a place to stay of my own. 

This true life story illustrates how some of these homosexuals prey on the weak and vulnerable. People like that are predators - and can easily lure vulnerable, and unstable men into the homosexual lifestyle. And add into this mix, the propaganda by much of the media, and by many of our educators that homosexuality is normal - and you can see how easily some young vulnerable men can be lured into this lifestyle. 

Another personal experience has to do with the job I had in Edmonton at Lilydale Cooperative in the early 1980's, a poultry processing plant. There was this deaf mute fellow whose name was Edward (he could not speak, or talk), who worked on the kill line. Many of the workers referred to him as Edward the pervert. 

I had nothing against Edward as such, and we at work pretty well all accepted the situation and his open homosexuality. I even got to be sort of friends with him, and we could carry on a pretty good conversation through gestures, and writing things down on a piece of paper. 

The problem was the sexual harassment that I had to suffer from this man. We had a men's locker room, and showers. Sometimes I would work on the kill line in the live hanging department, and would at times take a shower after my shift. Sometimes this homo would leer at me, and make loud lewd noises - he could make a few harsh sounds, but could not speak. I really don't like, or appreciate that sort of thing. 

I kept rebuffing his sexual advances. One day some of us were working in Edward's area on the kill line. There was a black man working there that day, and I saw the homosexual feel him up right in view of me and the others workers there - and I also saw the black man feel up the homosexual. Each just going right up from the rear and feeling each other's testicles. Edward comes up to me, and indicated he wanted to feel me up too - well I wave my fist in his face. The message was quite clear - stay away from me you creep or you will get a fist in the teeth.  

Well he was not pleased. So he goes to the foreman, and gesturing and making his loud ah, ah, ah noises very loud - he was pointing towards the door and in effect telling the foreman that he did not want me working in his area anymore. I suppose if he can't sexually assault me, he didn't want me working there. The foreman just sort of chuckled, and did nothing. 

One day I was either on my break, or on lunch. Was sitting in the locker room on the floor, eating my lunch. Edward comes by and makes a lewd sexual advance towards me. I get angry, and kick at him as he walks by - to tell him forcefully to take off. Well he gets very angry. I was sitting on the floor with my legs stretched out, and the homosexual was standing. What he did was kick at me, and he jumps right on my leg, and on my knee with both feet - in a deliberate attempt to injure.  I did have a sore knee for awhile after that, and was limping a bit. 

Management and the union did nothing to curb this matter. 

One day we were either on our coffee break, or on lunch. Our department had about 100 women, and only about 10 men. Well Edward comes into the cafeteria, and stands there in front of all the women, and grabs his crotch and makes some noises as if to say - go to hell all you women. Most of the women just laughed. This happened more than once. 

Edward must have assumed at the start that I was gay myself, since I was single, and did not sleep around with any of the woman at work. He probably did not realize I was a Christian, and just did not take advantage of the numerous opportunities I had to sleep around with women from work. I was looking for a marriage mate at the time, but it was so hard to find someone, who was religiously compatible with me, and with similar religious beliefs to mine. You know I was (and still think I am) a pretty dedicated Christian, and I take the biblical laws regarded sexual matters very seriously. I do not believe in uncommitted sex. I am still very strict with myself regarding sexual matters. 

I have changed my views a bit on some matters regarding sex over the years (go to Life), but certainly know very, very clearly that certain sexual matters like homosexuality, incest, and sleeping with another man's wife are wrong - and I will never change my views in that regard. 

Sure there may be some gray areas of biblical law regarding sexual matters. Yes there are different interpretations, by different people, and sure we all don't understand and perceive everything about God's laws and ways in the identical way. God is not a prude - after all He is the one who invented sex. However, there are certain sexual areas where there can be no doubt that this it is morally wrong - and homosexuality definitely falls within that category.

Anyways I sort of became friends with him, but certainly not any kind of close friend. 

One day I believe I saw the real Edward - in regards to this sexual orientation thing. He was in his work area, and there was a woman worker there, and me. I could see Edward and the woman were warm towards each other, so I gestured to him and her to have a hug. Gesturing for Ed to hug the woman. Edward put his arm around the woman - in a friendly hug, but of course we are sexual creatures. I could see that it was for him a real struggle to muster up enough courage to hug that woman. I never saw him do that ever before with a woman. It was a real struggle for him - I could see from the fear and doubt that shone in his eyes, but he did it !  I could see Edward felt good about himself, after that encounter. I felt sort of proud of him. 

How sad it is that people like him are condemned to live an unhealthy and sexually unproductive lifestyle, when they could be helped to recognize the negative image they have of their sexuality. When they could be helped to have more sexual self-confidence to form a committed sexual relationship with someone of the opposite sex, while giving up homosexuality (I do not support or promote bisexuality folks).  And where they could be helped to even have kids and raise a family - with a Daddy, a real female Mommy and the children of this union.
